We've always had a doxie here--we lost our two old boys to "doxie disc disease" in 2004. After more than a year, we were finally ready for a new doxie, and found just the right girl after months and months of searching.

Tickle was named by Courtney--when we visited with doxies during 2005, they would jump all over her and she called them "tickle dogs". Then we found that dachshund in German was "teckel". After meeting Tickle, we knew the name just fit her!! Tickle adores everyone--the kids, the Aussies, you name it. She does bark to get pet ;)) , and feels she is the center of the universe. She also thinks she is human--sleeping on her back, covers pulled up to her chin, in Courtney's bed. And of course, Emmy is there too, guarding over the two of them.
